North West School of Motoring was founded in January 2007 by entrepreneur Bernard Mc Dyre after completing his Driving Instructor Training with Irish school of Motoring, Ireland's largest driving school.
In April 2008 Bernard completed and passed the Road Safety Authority (RSA) driving test to become one of the first driving instructors in Donegal to do so.
The test included
Theory Test: 100 questions
Advance Driving Test: which lasted for 1 hour approx.
Instructors Test: This is broken into two half hour lessons chosen by the tester.
The above are carried out by the test section of R.S.A tasked with setting up the Road Safety Authority Approved Driving Instructor list. Each instructor will be check-tested every two years. Check out www.rsa.ie for full list of approved instructors. As of 30 April all instructors must be approved before they can charge for driving lessons
